Stupid Substitute.

Today we got a substitute teacher for Film Studies. I was surprised because our teacher never told us anything about him being away. Next week Tuesday he’s also going to be away. :sowhat At first this substitute was alright. His lectures were easy to understand and not boring compared to the lectures that are given by my regular prof. Then after we watched our daily movie, he started discussing the movie. Everybody in the class had to discuss or say something about it. We never do that with our regular prof so I was definitely surprised. He was asking people questions even though nobody raised their hand up. :slant But before that, we had a 10 minute break before the discussion. I was sitting behind him and as he was getting something from his desk, he looks at me and smiles. I smile back politely then he says “You know you were making alot of sounds in the background during the movie. You really felt the mood of the movie. Congratulations.” Mind you I wasnt really sure whether he said the last 2 sentences but I did hear a sort-of sarcastic congratulations at the end. I’m not sure whether he said that because I got up to go to the bathroom during the movie or because I slept half of the movie. I know that I dont snore… Unless I was snoring during the movie then he heard that then… I’m in shit but I wasnt really sure what he meant by that comment. :confused All I know is that he didnt give me a good vibe and I took it as something rude like “Shut up next time we’re watching a movie” or “Try not to sleep next time”. Anyway back to the discussion. He asked me a question and I answered it wrong. :paperbag Thank god I wasnt the only one that screwed up. :slant But still his questions made people pretty stupid. He didnt know that we never do this in class… So basically I hate the dude. Thank God he wont be our teacher forever. :yuck He’s only in for Tuesday and that’s it.

Aside from that, I bought a new backpack, memory card and sent in my financial forms. I even wrote a note on my hand to do those things. But I forgot to ask them information about the whole financial aid problems how $244 is not enough. Bleh. I think I might stop by tomorrow. :smile

    I hate it when you get substitute teachers – especialy when you havent been told that you are getting one. AND your normal teacher was meant to tell you. I think its a bit of laziness from the teachers side really

    I hate substitutes and how they have things”their way” when the students aren’t used to it. It really sucks. I love this layout though! It’s nice and dark and it’s just awesome altogether. :)

    Substitute teachers always suck (ok not always, but most of the time they do). We never got substitute teachers thank god, we had always an hour off hehe! But glad that he isn’t your regular teacher, else I would feel very sorry for you hehe

    He sounds like a real jerk but what can you do about it? A teacher is a teacher, and an uninteresting movie will put anyone to sleep. That’s life for ya. Goodluck on the money situation though, I hope everything works out ok for you.

    Your substitute teacher sounds really boring! Our teachers never did any of that. I slept through alot of movies as well..not your fault you fell asleep! It’s practically his! He showed the movie!lol well great site!

    oo i hate substitute teachers! they never know what’s going on in our daily class routines. it was kinda stupid for him to be so confident about the whole movie thing. cause usually substitute just get really piss at the end of the day. im surprise your class didn’t mess with his head =D i know i would =P

    i’ve always been too afraid to fall asleep in a college class however i used to do it all the time in HS. good luck getting your financial aid sorted out.

    was the substitute a teaching assistant? usually when my professors are gone they just leave the class up to the teaching assistant. although that’s just in big classes really i guess. point is, teaching assistants are usually really laid back in my experience. this guy sounds like a hard ass. good thing he’s not the real teacher. and CONGRATS on the memory card… how exciting! my camera only holds 9 pictures, lol.

    i’ll trade your sub for my real teacher. he can’t even teach, much less keep us all awake. he’s got such a monotonous voice i could scream, but usually i just fall asleep.
    anyways, i WISH i was in something fun like visual media or whatever it is you’re in, instead of ALGEBRA :S

    Ugh…substitutes are so annoying when your used to your regular teacher and the substitute does something totally different. X.x
