Yahoo! against the honchos

Alright so it turns out that Yahoo & Ebay will be joining forces… Not sure if thats a good idea but as long as they go against the good guys Google & evil guys Microsoft. But doesnt Yahoo use Google when you use their search engines? Right so that means that Yahoo will also use Paypal as a form payment of Yahoo services.. Ah as a computer geek, I get to blog about useless info like that.. Source!

On a side note, the public transportation TTC may have a strike tomorrow.. Thats not a good thing since billions of people will not be able to travel. That means I might not be able to work tomorrow.. Bad for the company since they’ll be understaff and no $ for me.. Good for me for I dont get to deal with Boston Red Sox fans… :grin:

    Why is Microsoft evil? They’ve done a hell of a lot more good than any other computer/software company.

    I guess the most sucessful competitor will always be seen as evil.

    It’s funny, ‘Yahoo’ is the most popular key word result in Google search history.

    Uh oh, I smell a monopoly. Google is just as bad (if not worse) than Microsoft. Did you hear about Google censoring search results in China? Proving once again people will do anything for money, even supporting a corrupt government.

    I’m sorry that you won’t have the pleasure of dealing with Red Sox fans. We’re a great bunch. :grin:

    Good luck with your transporation :slant: when I was visiting new york we went to central park, a million blocks from out hotel, and then there was this strike in the middle of the day so we had to walk all the way back.

    Yeah I know what you mean about salespeople getting frustrated.. but it’s not like WE customers are so much better off. It’s not like WE give them attitude in the first place.. at least not ME, so why should they do that? And it’s US buying from them.. lol.

    Oooh strikes/protests are annoying!

    Oooooh I had not heard that about Ebay and Yahoo. Not sure what I think about it yet either, but guess we have no choice, eh? Maybe they can eventually come up with some good integration. I’m still waiting for the perfectness of integration between Yahoo and Flickr since they obtained them last year.
    Though even if these companies are monopolies, that’s better than not having net neutrality! savetheinternet.com for that one…

    I can’t see eBay and yahoo joining forces, probably because I don’t want them to since I dislike Yahoo.
    Our Public transport occasionally have strikes, on those days sometimes taxi’s are alot cheaper.

    :look: Eto, well I don’t use Yahoo services nor Ebay… so I really don’t know if it’s a good thing. I do use Google a lot and some time ago I watched a documentary about Google and what the company is doing with all the info it gathers. And what they’re doing IS pretty scary – logging EVERYTHING! :tired: Although Microsoft sure has a monopoly on things, I love to use their stuff *sigh* Oh well~ I hope things went ok with the strike and all…

    Psht, Yahoo is okay. I actually prefer them over the other messengers and I look at the site every now. Boo AOL/AIM. I hope the merger won’t effect Ebay in any way, because Ebay makes things happy. :sly:
