So it’s August now. A brand new month.. Last month has been such a disaster. I dont even want to talk about it since I am trying to get over “it”. This summer has been such a roller coaster it’s ridiculous.. With all the job interviews I had to go through, the guys and the job I have now. It’s like in June there was a guy then in July there was another guy which was just a waste of time. I wish I never met him. So yeah, I really am trying to get over that. So on to August and a fresh start. Maybe a new guy?! lol I’m such a player.. lol Jk! I dont have work until Friday so I am sitting here on my behind doing nothing but reading. I would go shopping but I’ve done so much of that last week that I dont want to spend anymore until I get this new job. Working keeps me busy so yeah I like to work. I may complain about it then again who doesnt complain about work??

I’m not a Firefox hater or anything because I do love another alternative to IE. But I thought I’d share this link to those who use Firefox than Opera…

So good news today.. I made my first mashed potatoes. You are reading a blog of a lady who doesnt know how to cook so obviously this is like a call for celebration!!! It’s not as great as the way my mom mixes the mashed potato mix but it’s good as long as I didnt die after eating it. I finished them all to myself since I do really love mashed potatoes.. Just when I thought August would be a new month and all since July was such a bust something like this has to happen. I went out with a guy last month and I thought he didnt want anything to do with me since he was avoiding me happened to message me on msn last night. The funny thing is I was talking about him to my friend. Speak of the devil and he shall appear.. :devil: I was really caught off guard since he hasnt tried to contact me for like 2 and 1/2 weeks now.. Then he acts like he did nothing wrong. I didnt talk to him long since he didnt deserve it. I dont buy the excuse ‘I had to take off’. Whatever the hell that means I dont know… :irked: But really if he wants to be on my good side (again?) he will have to work for it. I’m not just gonna forgive him for the crap you pulled on me.

My mother actually called those internet ads that says ‘Click here to win $1000!!’. You know what I’m talking about. Those banners that are placed in websites and it’s blinking.. She actually called the phone number thinking that she’d win the $1000. Yes my mom doesnt really use the internet like me. She doesnt even know how to check her email. She has like so many emails because she keeps signing up for she always loses her password or she doesnt check her emails that it becomes deactivated… Yeah so when she does check her emails, I worry that she might end up opening an email that has a virus on it. When I check my email, I dont open forwards because I’m paranoid that they have virus attached on them. Then now I cant even monitor it when she’s opening her emails and they have this funny videos attached. :slant: Yeah so she got so excited when someone actually picked up so that she can claim her prize… :ashamed: But it turns out it was a trip in Florida that they were offering. She sounded so disappointed on the phone because she really wanted the cash… You cant even claim the prize because you have to be a citizen and I think American.. Then when she hung up, I told her that it was all a scam and that to not fall for it again… :grin:

If you’re the rebound guy/girl (and you know it) and you want to make the perfect rebound date so that the person ends up having a good time, here are some tips..
1. Go to dinner. Maybe some italian restaurant. But do not complain about how crappy their food. Yes you asked for medium rare but it came out rare.. Just complain once and thats it. No more than 2 times. If you do, you might as well ask them to recook it.. :slant:
2. Go to the movies. Plain and simple.
3. Stay over at the person’s house or vice versa. Does not necessarily mean you’ll get some but just sleep over.
4. Wake up early enough so that you can cook them breakfast if they stayed at your house.

Yesterday was the first time someone has ever cooked me breakfast. It was really sweet since he didnt have to do that but he did. It was the traditional eggs, bacon, toast and hot chocolate. But throughout the entire time, I realized that we were just better off as friends. There was no connection whatsoever. There was no flirting (which is why I said ‘does not necessarily mean you’ll get some’). I’m glad he felt the same way about him though. But he did go all out. He paid for dinner, movie and he made me breakfast. Not to mention the fact that he bought my favourite pie and liquor (which I didnt end up eating/drinking since I was really full). He must’ve spend over $100+ just for me… But it just wasnt a success.. I’m glad he feels the same way as me. We are just better off as friends.. It just didnt work out… :flow:

ARgh technology sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead: So I finally bought a tv tuner.. I was so happy and all.. It took me the whole afternoon trying to figure out how to attach the tv tuner in my pcl slot or is it pci? Lol I dont know. When I finally did, the computer didnt have that message bubble that said ‘Found new hardware’ but I installed the software anyway… Then it didnt work.. :mad: So I shut off the pc again and opened my computer and removed the tuner and put it in another slot. Then finally when i turned on the pc, I found that ‘Found new hardware’ message. Thank God! So I had to reinstall the hardware and the software. When I finally (sorta) figured out how to watch tv from the program, it sais ‘No TV tuner’… WTF… :irked: I hate installing new hard drives in my pc.. I hate it.. It drives me crazy!!! :devil: So I checked out the site and look at the troubleshooting area and found that its either because the hardware wasnt installed (the tv tuner which I thought I did right!) or the program couldnt locate the hardware.. Such mumbo jumbo.. Then I was looking at the cable and it turns out that I have no tv cable in my room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad: Made me mad even more because now I dont know how to attach a working cable in my room. I’ve tried looking for a splitter and couldnt find any. Even if I found one, I wouldnt know where to put them. Do I attach it to the room next door? Or attach it to the living room.. I have like 30 days to return this tv tuner and it drives me crazy! It really does.. I’d have to uninstall the programs and figure out how to remove a hardware in my pc..

Not that my friday couldnt get any worse. The interview that I uploaded in youtube of Uma Thurman in Conan O’Brien was deleted because it was copyright infringement!!! :slant: Well sorry.. I didnt know it would be rejected. So I didnt even get a chance to read the first comment it got. Once a video is rejected, its still in your account but it cant be deleted. It’s just sitting there… It’s so damn retarded! :ashamed:

Last night was the first that I’ve had to stop a fight at work. I’ve never had to do that last year so this time was a first. As much as I tried to be tough and pretend that I knew what I was doing, clearly I was thinking (and hoping) that none of them punch me out. They didnt physically touch each other but they were arguing and cussing at each other that they wouldve started fighting in seconds. Then some guy (not a part of either party) stood up and tried to stop one of the guys. That didnt help since I wanted him to sit down. There’s a game going on and people are trying to watch but there’s a stupid fight about to happen. The security came and their own solution was to sit the guy down 2 rows back but I didnt want that since they can still argue at each other. I wanted him ejected. Luckily the cop who was there sitting got up from her seat and took the guy away. I dont know if he was ejected or not. Either way I dont want a fight, not in my section anyway. The whole situation was clearly ridiculous so I wont even blog about it here. I was just thankful that the lady cop came to the rescue. At the same time, I did feel sorry for the guy because he didnt seem like the a**hole type of guy. Sure he had his piercings but he seemed pretty nice compared to the people he was arguing against. Both parties were drunk so I guess alcohol played a role in the situation.

So I started my first day as a desktop analyst. And I dont finish at 3 but 5.. Pretty disappointing since I wanted to finish at 3 for my Blue Jays job. I guess I will have to quit that. I dont think I can give 2 weeks notice.. Sucks but I guess I have no choice. I do hope to come back next season though. So that was today. It was alright. It was a long day. I was tired and bored but that is just the beginning. I will get used to it soon. I Hope. Give me a month? lol Apparently I will have to get something to do since there will be times where I will be bored. I dont know what to get yet. Maybe a book or a magazine.

Went shopping today after work. I needed to buy a new pair of walking shoes for work. When I get comfortable, I will leave them at work and wear flip flops to work.. Ghetto but I dont care as long as my feet doesnt start hurting. I get my own cubicle and computer with internet access… My own phone as well. I’ve never had my own cubicle ever.. It’s a pretty big one at that. There’s a possibility that I’ll get lonely. I guess when I’m comfortable, I’ll decorate it lol. I dont like how the computer chair is facing the back of the cubicle door so I wont know who’s behind me looking at my desktop when I’m doing my job. lol. Oh well…

Right so back to shopping, I went to buy 2 new tops and a pair of flats for work. I also bought a new bra.. Argh.. Vanessa has a bigger set of twins.. :embarass: I wont say the size but they grew.. So next topic, I’ve been busy with work that I have forgotten to watch this dvd that I rent out.. Hostel. I hope I dont get a huge fine for returning it late. Also saw World Trade Center with a friend. That was ok. I didnt cry like I thought I would but the rest of the theater did. :slant: I guess thats it.. It’ll be a while for me to get used to this going to work instead of school routine.. ;P
