The first meeting

I had my first meeting today with the entire group. Entire group meaning, the people in my building plus those all over Canada. This was obviously done through a conference since not everyone can make it here in Toronto. It was 2 hours long but it went by pretty fast. It was odd though since everyone had to introduce everyone in the beginning. My supervisor’s boss was there as well and when we met for the first time, I was pretty intimidated. I believe he knows that people find him intimidating since I heard some people talking how they ran into him and they were pretty surprised that he travelled all the way from Calgary to here. I saw his face when he saw my sudoku puzzle drawn on my whiteboard. :embarass: Yeah it helps me kill time when it’s a slow day at work. Right so back to the meeting, the introductions was weird since I didnt know what to say. There were others who didnt introduce themselves since my boss had missed them. Sneaky people! I didnt really talk since I am new and my role isnt all the big that I had to talk. I didnt ask questions really. I just wanted to take in what happens during these monthly meetings and if/when I’m comfortable, I will ask questions.

So after work, I had to exchange the fish filter that I purchased last Monday. Then I wanted to stop by the store and buy some stuff for my desk. Unfortunately I didnt have my wallet. I panicked trying to remember where I put it. Thankfully, it was in my other jacket afterall. :bubble:

Ha so that’s my boring day….

That sounds like a pretty intense meeting, and it looks like you did a good thing by watching and learning. Most people would have been like “ok time to me to read this new book my cousin got me” or something…

That’s really cool that everyone would keep in contact like that. I didn’t really know how a conference worked.

Sudoku’s… really hard to me. So I don’t really do it, hurts my head.

Good thing you found your wallet, I’d cry if I ever lost mine… not that I have any money in it. ;P

Sounded like some kind of meeting. I hate intimidating people or people who try to be intimidating. Just put it past you .
Oh sudoku, best game ever lol. Try getting a magazine one if you can, that way you won’t get caught as easily at work.

Your boss does sound a little intimating, but writing on the white board I fun. I love the smell of markers… I know that’s horrible.

I like Sudoko. They are quite fun. Usually I speed them up by getting the edge top & right lines from the answer key tho.

I hate making introductions at meetings. I never know what to say!
