Can your computer run Windows Vista?

Apparently my lovely desktop is not cool enough for Microsofts’s new OS, Vista… lol I laughed once I found this.. I just bought a new RAM too.. So my desktop graduated from 256 MB to 768 MB. :grin: Me so proud.. I was nervous on removing the original RAM just to see if I knew how to put it together but it went ok. So I left the house and bought a 512 MB and installed it. No issues.. No problems.. Then I go here to check if my pc is ready for Bill’s next invention but I failed in 3 categories.. The video card, RAM and free Disk space.. Yes I have 3 GB left but really if and when I do install this Vista, I’m going to want to format my hard drive anyway so I will have enough space.. As for the video card, I’ll fix that last.. ;P Will have to do some research on what I should get. So check it out if you are just as curious, click on the link below.

    i’ve completed it as well… and failed the same categories you did! XD hahaha i don’t want to install the vista yet, i’m still afraid of all the bugs :/ i prefer to wait till all the bugs and patches have been out…

    Wow. I’m scared to see how my computer would fail with Vista. :S I doubt my computer will ever see the joys? of Vista…

    I think I might wait until I get a new computer before I even think about Vista. I don’t mind XP all that much, plus I think if I wait long enough the initial bugs should be fixed.

    My computer failed four categories :/ Then again I’m not really looking into switching to Vista yet. I’m quite happy with my current computer and XP :)

    Hm. I did that test, and the only thing I failed was my video card x_x I think i need to reformat my computer or something. Mine’s filling up with massive junk.

    But yes. I want to wait a while to get vista, if I ever do.

    I passed, but I knew I would. I’m pretty techy and got this laptop for the long haul. I wouldn’t worry about failing because you’re probably not going to want Vista right away anyway. Unless you were already planning to upgrade your computer anyway… I bet that Bill and some of these hardware venders have got some sort of deal going. Even though I passed, it was “recommended” that I get a slower duo-core, which makes absoutely no sense.

    I tried and only failed with the video car, which susprised me. I have hardly any space left and desprately need a new harddrive. I don’t think i’ll get a Vista. I’m happy with my XP.

    That would be cool if that would benefit my Windows PC but it’s dead now, poor computer wasn’t able to house itself with Windows Vista, hehehe. I believe if I run that on my computer (the Test.. haha), it would fail in so many ways. :P And it only has 128 MB, hahaha! Happy New Year btw! :)

    Aw, I would LOVE to try Windows Vista! But I don’t know nothing about computer programs, at least not those kinda things… :P So I’m really scared it’ll mess up my comp and I obviously don’t want that. :grin: I love how Windows always tells you that you’re stuff isn’t good enough, though. It’s ridiculous. :no:

    I failed in the sound and video card, not quite failed…it was “unsure”. I’m not willing to try it and take my chances…I’d deal with XP till I get a new computer.
