Cast

No one in my family has ever gotten a cast ever until today. I got a call from my mom at work stating that she wont be able to pick me up since she’s at the hospital. Due to the bad weather conditions in Toronto, my dad who was walking to work, slipped and slammed his wrist on the cement. The sidewalk that he was walking on was not shovelled so he slipped. There was a man who was driving who saw it all happened and offered to take him to the hospital. But luckily the area was just walking distance away from where we lived so my dad just said no and walked back to our house. Then my mom had to take him to the hospital. I’m guessing they were in the hospital for 3+ hours. They didnt get home until around 6:30 to 7 pm. My mom wont be going to work as planned tonight since she didnt get much sleep in the day. Her friends were calling her to see what was up since she normally carpools them to work. My dad came with with a cast on his left arm. He has to keep it that way for 6 weeks. It looks bad.. Like painful bad. I dont know… like I said, none of us has ever had a cast done ever. I’m not sure what to say but I’m glad he is ok. I am still unsure whether he’ll be going to work. One thing I know is that since he’s left-handed he wont be able to write…. :no:

    I am sorry to hear about your dad and his accident! Hopefully it will heal soon so he can get rid of the cast!

    Oh my, that sounds terrible. i hope your dad is going to be much better and heal very soon. it’s really sad to see the person ur family member get hurts :(

    Ouch, that sounds pretty painful. Good thing he wasn’t too far from home though, hitching a ride from strangers is just creepy. I hope everyone gets to feeling better, though!

    Slipped and slammed his wrist on the cement? My goodness, that sounds horrible! Luckily, where I live in California we never get weather conditions like that… But, I hope he gets better soon!
