Fall 2007 Schedule

I finally got a sneak preview of my Fall 2007 schedule. It turns out Food, Place & Identity has a really hard-marker prof. So I’ve been looking to change that for the better. I might take Geography of Toronto which sounds interesting and I have read (from ratemyprofessor.com) that the prof that is teaching it is good. 8-) Now I cant change my schedule yet until next week. I am a bit excited that I’m going back to school after a year of working full time for a great oil company. As a co-op (intern) student, I got to experience what it’s like to work. One of the things I’ve learned is that I am NOT ready to go into the work industry. Not ready into the ‘real’ world! I am looking forward to school and dont wanna work yet… ;P I did get to save up some $ for this falls tuition and paid off some debts. With whatever $ I have left, I hope to buy myself my first ever laptop. I’ve been asking around for a good laptop brand. People didnt really like Dell. Some had mixed feelings on Toshiba & HP. But everyone so far has had nice things to say about Macbook. I dont want Macbook pro since it’s too big. I want a tiny 13″-15″ one. We’ll see. If I do get it, I’ll show it off in here. :cupid:

Hopefully you will be able to get your schedule changed. I wish I was going back to college this semester, but bills prevent me from doing that just yet.My laptop is a Dell, and I love it!

I want a laptop too but the one I want is too expensive, lol it’s a Mac I want. I’ve heard that Dell is quite good though and nog that expensive. Goodluck on deciding :)

I own a Toshiba, lol. I haven’t tried bringing it outside yet since I’m paranoid like that, but everything has been going fine with my Toshiba

You should definitely go with a mac. Macbook Pro’s a really expensive, but if you get last generation and/or refurbished it’ll be wayyy cheaper. My dad got a 13″ refurbished ibook from macofalltrades.com for only 400, and it works pretty good. I use a 17″ Powerbook that I absolutely adore… it’s never crashed on me, but I guess that’s a little too large for your tastes?

“Food, Place & Identity” sounds like an interesting course I would risk to take. But then again, I like hard-mark profs because they challenge me. :P

I wish they had those ratings for overseas insitutions, mainly in my case, for Hong Kong, lol, so that I can see the ratings for my profs… except I’m not sure if they can be reliable??? I mean every student’s needs are different.. hmmm…
Heheh.. why is everyone addicted to the Macbook :P Is it really that good?!
    Later, Vanessa!

You sound like me – I can’t wait to go back to work (I work in a school). My sister said the same thing the other day. Summer is not that great :P

Food, Place, and Identity sounds fun! I think I’m taking a similar class. I use ratemyprofessors.com too! And I pretty much base my class selection on the reviews, haha. I’m not looking forward to school too much. I’d rather start working than take any more classes. I love Sony Vaios. They’re a bit more pricey than the others, but they’re always reliable.
