This prof is an idiot.

So currently I am taking an Artificial Intelligence course this fall. Unfortunately it is my 2nd hated course this semester. The prof knows what he is talking about but the material is so boring that I am not interested in listening to him. My mind just dozes off and wanders on my issues about school. So today one of the guys in the class pointed me to the profs blog. I will not post it in here nor will I not post his name in here. He said that in the prof’s blog he rants about how he does not like women. Apparently, he also stated in his blog that women in computer science are a bunch of idiots. I’m in the computer science program and this of courses pisses the sh*t out of me. Honestly I have not read this blog. I didn’t read the entry where he called computer science women as idiots. Also in his blog, he insults women who poker.. Also calling them idiots. I dont want to have to waste my time finding which entry he was talking about women in computer science. I just hope I’ll survive his class without throwing books at him. :x

    It sucks that your professor is like that. Especially since he’s so open about it on his blog–it means that he may be more likely to give girls a lower mark in that case, no? But then, it would probably be even worse if everyone thought that it was his blog when really it wasn’t…

    But still. A boring class is a boring class. I hope you can ace it so you don’t have to take it ever again. ^_^

    Well if he picks on you purposely and unreasonably you can go to the school’s office and report him, using his blog as proof. But anyways, you can always prove him wrong, even if he is boring.

    Oh how awful! I’m a girl and I do computer science, too… I would hate to know something like that about one of my teachers! I would have so much trouble respecting him from then on. God knows the computer science field lacks estrogen, and chauvinists like him certainly do not help. Sorry! Best of luck surviving his class!

    :headache: What an awful professor! I can’t believe he would go and publicly post his awful feelings about women students so his students can find it. Yea, like that will really make you want to go to class. I minored in CS so I know how difficult those courses are and women in my class were just as capable as the men. So take that stupid man.

    he sounds like a modern day Nietzsche, brilliant except for the fact he’s a male chauvinist. Artificial Intelligence sounds far from uninteresting. Topics are rarely dull. It’s the presentation that makes or breaks.
