So I didnt vote…

When they had the elections last year in Ontario, I wanted to vote. I just became a citizen less than a year ago and I wanted to vote since that is one of the things that you get to do as a Canadian citizen. I was waiting for my Registration Card which informs you where you should go to vote. It’s not necessary if you dont have it but still. This was back in October. I never received the registration card until now… January 2008… :irked: So useless. How are citizens suppose to vote if they dont send the Registration card on time?!!! By the way, I didnt end up voting during the election. I was too busy with school. :sowhat: I guess I am just a lazy Canadian citizen.

    Awww, that sucks that you were forced to miss it like that. This upcoming election in the US is going to be the first time I’m going to get to vote too so I’m pretty excited about feeling like I’m actually making some sort of impact on the world. Somehow. Sort of. lol. Hopefully I actually remember to vote though, because knowing me it’ll just completely slip my mind somehow despite all the campaigning going on. /)___- lol.

    I must be a lazy American citizen too because I didn’t vote due to school and a missing voter’s registration! Coincidence, hehe.

    i wanna vote here in usa too, but i think (unlike CA) in the US, it’s all rigged. it’s terrible. i hope your vote actually counts out there.

    Way to be on top of things, Canadian Government! I can’t wait to vote and I sure hope I don’t have to wait as long as you did. Shouldn’t that be a priority of theirs?

    Anyway back to blog…I haven’t voted yet, mind you i’ve only been able to vote for 3 months-ish as I only turned 18 in September. I really want to vote so it feels like you have some involvement in what is happening in the government.

    And I managed to vote last year though I was only old enough to vote in the latter election in Australia.
