Here is a review of MAKE UP FOREVER’s Duo Mat Powder foundation. This is a medium to full coverage foundation. It is oil-free and has a matte finish. This is great for combination and oily skin types. It is also great for the summer where your face tends to be more oily. I purchased this two years ago when I had trouble with acne. I used it after my workout in the gym since I didnt want to put on liquid foundation after I worked out.

The packaging is pretty neat since the powder puff is under the powder itself. Unfortunately, the mirror is very small in this compact. I would suggest carrying around a large mirror if you are using this foundation for travel. As you can see in the first photo, the plastic separator fell off and I had to place a tape just so that it is in place. This foundation is very long-wearing. But if you put it on too much, it can look very powdery therefore it should be set with a setting spray like Skindinavia’s Moisture Lock Makeup Finish.

Ingredients: (from Sephora.com) Talc, Dimethicone, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Zinc Stearate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Lauroyl Lysine, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Aqua (Water), Dimethiconol, Chlorphenesin, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, Lauryl Methacrylate/Glycol Dimethacrylate Crosspolymer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Bis-PEG/PPG-14/14 Dimethicone, Glycerin, Dicaprylyl Ether, Phenoxyethanol, Cassia Angustifolia Extract (Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide), Parfum (Fragrance), Gellan Gum, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Ethylparaben. May Contain: CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides), CI 77499 (Iron Oxides).

As you can see above the first ingredient is Talc. So if you are allergic to Talc, then this product would not be good for you. It also has silicone and mica which has been known to irritate some people. To finish off, I would be purchasing this product again if I ever run out. I also believe that I’ve almost hit pan with this which just shows how much usage I have on this product. The downsides is the packaging mirror size. It is very small. It should be large that I can see my entire face just like the mirrors in a typical compact. The clear plastic also fell off in my compact. Also it can be very powdery if used too much.
