I just upgraded my wordpress to 2.7. I like the new look but I didnt really see anything wrong with the previous theme. One of the things that I like is the quick post that appears in the dashboard. There are some things that I’m not sure what their uses are like the ‘Turbo’ at the right top corner. Anyway on a more depressing note, I dont know about you but I’m extremely paranoid that I might not get a job when I graduate in 2009 because of this horrible economy. All these people are losing their jobs that it would be stupid of me to think that theyre willing to hire a newbie. I am just lucky that I have a fall back job when my current one ends at the end of the school in 2009 (it’s contract). But honestly, I am willing to stay in this job even if it’s just part time. I’m going to continue to search for jobs but the only thing that I hate is the interviews and the fixing of the cover letter & resume. :rude: Sucks….

So my 3rd exam was today and I was late. I didnt get up early so I was late. When I got there there was no left over desk or chair to sit on. I’m so livid. How could the university assign a room for a class of around 20 (instead of 80ish) a room that doesnt even have enough desks and chairs?! Also the TAs didnt even grab extra tables and chairs when they knew that the only girl in the class is missing?! Utter disappointment. I honestly would complain if I knew who and where to complain to. There were also 2 guys who were also late that also had to find a desk and a chair. The 2nd guy had to get one from another class where another exam was happening. I dont blame the class for being pissed but honestly, it’s not our fault. It’s the stupid university who is too damn lazy to get a decent room for us. So enough of that, I left the room 1 hour later after realizing that I dont really care about this exam anymore. I know I’ll probably get at least a B in that course considering how I did all labs and about around a B in the midterm. So even though I arrived late due to not having a desk/chair, I still finished way ahead of the class.

On tech news, Wordpress 2.7 is coming out tomorrow (Friday). Since I dont have much plans, I plan on upgrading alot of the Wordpress scripts that’s used to run this blog and the various fan sites I’m running. It tooks like it’ll have some nice features and nifty Javascript scripts in it.

The couple, together for six years, can feed chicks by producing milk in their throats.

“Fernando and Carlos are a same sex couple who have been known to steal other flamingos’ eggs by chasing them off their nest because they wanted to rear them themselves,” said WWT spokeswoman Jane Waghorn.

“They were rather good at sitting on eggs and hatching them so last week, when a nest was abandoned, it seemed like a good idea to make them surrogate parents.”

Gay flamingos are not uncommon, she added.

“If there aren’t enough females or they don’t hit it off with them, they will pair off with other males,” she said.

Alright so all this hype in Facebook is kinda ridiculous. Being a member in MySpace is no longer cool since everyone is joining this Facebook thing. I admit I’m a late bloomer. I just signed up to Facebook in December 2006 while my buddies already have like 100 wall posts. It also took me a while to sign up for MySpace. I dont see what the hype is about MySpace expect to show off your ugly html skills on your MySpace page. Then Facebook comes along and it’s even more creepy than MS. People can see what youre writing, who youre ‘friends’ with etc. Yes I know you can turn that off. But really who has the time to change the Privacy Settings. I also had a hard time looking for it. :embarass: Ah well. It’s not like I have anything to hide. I log into FB once a day (scary I know) and as soon as I see that I have no Friend requests, no new wall posts and no new messages in my Inbox, I leave. That sounds like I have no friends in FB but really I just dont bother with writing on people’s wall if I have nothing to say. I can just call them right? It’ll die down just like MS in a few years.. And all these new stories about students getting suspended because they posted photos and comments about their teachers is just ridiculous. Who asked teachers to go to FB and look for insults on their photos anyway? If you dont like it, dont go to it. Freedom of speech is no longer relevant to the education system. It’s like theyre going to monitor FB for any cruelty towards their teachers. What’s even better is if these students get smart and start posting videos of their teachers in Youtube. That would be funnier. Who’s going to know if you posted it when you can come up with any nickname you want. Right??

ARgh technology sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead: So I finally bought a tv tuner.. I was so happy and all.. It took me the whole afternoon trying to figure out how to attach the tv tuner in my pcl slot or is it pci? Lol I dont know. When I finally did, the computer didnt have that message bubble that said ‘Found new hardware’ but I installed the software anyway… Then it didnt work.. So I shut off the pc again and opened my computer and removed the tuner and put it in another slot. Then finally when i turned on the pc, I found that ‘Found new hardware’ message. Thank God! So I had to reinstall the hardware and the software. When I finally (sorta) figured out how to watch tv from the program, it sais ‘No TV tuner’… WTF… :irked: I hate installing new hard drives in my pc.. I hate it.. It drives me crazy!!! :devil: So I checked out the site and look at the troubleshooting area and found that its either because the hardware wasnt installed (the tv tuner which I thought I did right!) or the program couldnt locate the hardware.. Such mumbo jumbo.. Then I was looking at the cable and it turns out that I have no tv cable in my room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Made me mad even more because now I dont know how to attach a working cable in my room. I’ve tried looking for a splitter and couldnt find any. Even if I found one, I wouldnt know where to put them. Do I attach it to the room next door? Or attach it to the living room.. I have like 30 days to return this tv tuner and it drives me crazy! It really does.. I’d have to uninstall the programs and figure out how to remove a hardware in my pc..

Not that my friday couldnt get any worse. The interview that I uploaded in youtube of Uma Thurman in Conan O’Brien was deleted because it was copyright infringement!!! :slant: Well sorry.. I didnt know it would be rejected. So I didnt even get a chance to read the first comment it got. Once a video is rejected, its still in your account but it cant be deleted. So it’s August now. A brand new month.. Last month has been such a disaster. I dont even want to talk about it since I am trying to get over “it”. This summer has been such a roller coaster it’s ridiculous.. With all the job interviews I had to go through, the guys and the job I have now. It’s like in June there was a guy then in July there was another guy which was just a waste of time. I wish I never met him. So yeah, I really am trying to get over that. So on to August and a fresh start. Maybe a new guy?! lol I’m such a player.. lol Jk! I dont have work until Friday so I am sitting here on my behind doing nothing but reading. I would go shopping but I’ve done so much of that last week that I dont want to spend anymore until I get this new job. Working keeps me busy so yeah I like to work. I may complain about it then again who doesnt complain about work??

Alright so it turns out that Yahoo & Ebay will be joining forces… Not sure if thats a good idea but as long as they go against the good guys Google & evil guys Microsoft. On a side note, the public transportation TTC may have a strike tomorrow.. Thats not a good thing since billions of people will not be able to travel. New layout!!!! :excited: I decided to finally create a new one for the 2006. I’ll be busy once school starts so yeah. I figured I might just make a new layout once every year since I’m always busy on creating new ones every month. Creating a layout is not easy. It takes days. Ideas.. Photos to use.. Editing of images (once you’ve found one).. Coding and making it work in various browsers (Opera, IE and Firefox only.. Sorry for the ones excluded I know there are tons out there :ashamed: ). I went with the traditional white, black and various gray tones only because I was inspired by this scan from bwgreyscale. So I had to use the scans. I didnt find others that I had wanted. This one just sticks out of the bunch of scans they post in their forums. :sly:

Right so today I got sick. Actually it started last night, I didnt want to work today since I thought I would pass out or something but I had to. At least it was a morning shift not a closing one. I wouldve died then. I didnt think the 40% off sale would continue but it did. It was also very busy. This kinda makes me think that I should buy some items for me while I am still working for the company. Since the Xmas season is almost over, I’ll be out of a job soon.. I know theyre not going to want me back… Meh.. I really want to go shopping besides the mall that I’m working in. It’s so boring. I need a change of scenery.. ;P

Great news everybody!! Moi finally has the internet!!!! :jump: It’s kinda slow compared to my previous internet mostly because it’s not the same ISP plus the configuration that my parents chose was the slowest one so yeah. But as long as I have the internet, I am a-ok. I guess I’m back to staying up late and not doing my homework like I’m suppose to. That’s it for now. Nothing new.. I just wanted to announce that Google has finally launched its instant messenger servive, Google Talk! I’m excited about this. Yes I’m a dork for being excited on this new thing that Google has created. It is still in Beta and you must have a Gmail account in order for the messenger to work. There’s some stupid fucker who’s decided to spam my lovely site. I need to find some blackmailer anti spam shit for WP now… grr.. Aside from that bullshit, I opened my cpanel today and noticed that the information about bandwidth, space usage etc was different. I bought the first package of reseller from resellerzoom.com which consists of 2 GB of space and 20 GB of bandwidth. I’ve only used up 300 mb of space so far and I am never over my bandwidth. :sly: But as you can see below, I have unlimited space… err.. I dont know if my host is screwing around with me but that’s not right. There is no such thing as unlimited space… That is not a good thing. When people see unlimited space/bandwidth, the first thing they think of is SCAM. So yeah I think and I hope they arent scamming me or anything….

Alright so is today Canada day? Hmm I think it is. I wont be doing anything special except for the fact that I’m working. :weeping: I guess it’s my fault since I signed up for it. It’s not for a baseball game though it’s for this Alcoholics Anonymous convention that they are having in Rogers Center. I hope they’re not serving beer! Oh well at least (I hope) there wont be any drunks to deal with. I’m working as a security not an usher. They would probably put me in a crappy place where there’s nobody since I’m not really trained as a security. When I was a teenager back when ICQ was popular, I use to chat with any random stranger from different parts of the world. Most of those people I dont talk to anymore because we lost touch. Things like that happen. There’s probably only 1 person who I still talk to in ICQ but we’ve involved into MSN Messenger. Anyway, tonight was the first time in a real long time that some stranger started talking to me in MSN. Like I said, I used to go to chatrooms and chat whenever I get bored. But tonight some guy just talked to me and he doesnt even know how he got my email. Normally I would be like ‘hey how are you?’ etc all happy and shit. But I dont know this time, it was different. I didnt feel like talking to him. We exchanged pics and all. He lived in the area. It just didnt work out. Finding decent people to talk to online is like a rare thing to find. After asking for their “asl” they start talking about sex. Like really? Do people my age run out of things to discuss on these messenger things? Someone told me that the internet is like 7% of communication. The 93% goes to phones, letters and actual conversations with real people. If you want sex on the internet, dont talk to me about it. There are certain websites for things like that. :sowhat:

Argh. :banghead: Somebody shoot me whenever I do impulse shopping for something computer-related items. I have this dvd burner that I purchased a few months back and it wont play dvds that are made outside North America. I also tried to burn a movie on a dvd+rw cd and it wont even work on the dvd player. :pissed: Stupid thing. Then I bought a dvd+r 8x cd and it turns out I cant use that cd since the burner is 4x and I need a thing called “firmware”. So I searched and it turns out my burner isnt region free meaning it wont play dvds outside North America. So I have to download a firmware for my dvd burner to make it region free and after much long search, there isnt one! I am an idiot. Thats what I get for doing impulse shopping. I can burn dvds but the only way to watch them is if I play it on my PC not the dvd player. I can still watch dvds that are made in North America. That so sucks. I hate it. I wont be able to buy another dvd burner for like another few years because I have to save $ for school this Sept. I just hope that dvd burners get real cheap like less than $100 by next year. :irked: Right now I can only burn cds properly. bleh.

As you can see in here a new blog has been installed since MT was getting on my nerves. I still like it but the fact that I couldnt skin the comments because it’s Perl sucks ass. So I’m back to the php weblog script called Wordpress. It’s alright so far. I did have alot of trouble installing the thing and configuring and tweaking to my sites needs. It’s not such a bad script since it already has a an option of me authorizing the comments that goes in my blog. If you post, I have to authorize it in order to be viewed by the public. Spam control I tell you! :devil:

Mind you the site has a new layout and the damn menu is fidgetting whether I hover it while using Firefox. But other than that it’s a-ok. I do plan on removing some contents since I dont have the time to update that side of the site. I’m too much focused on creating fanlistings. :embarassed:

School started on Wednesday and it’s alright. I do have the occasional 3 hour gaps between classes which sucks ass. That’s bad since I’ll be bored alot. I’m either on the comp at school or shopping to the nearest mall. Since I’m broke I’ll try not to do that.

Right so I’m not completely done with fixing the site. It took a while for me to install a new blog, Wordpress and upload everything to the new server. The change skins feature also does not work. I am off to fix things and…

I got the mp3 player that I won through Ebay! :hyper:jump I didnt think I would get it until tomorrow but when I saw the mail man put the mail through the slot, I just had to go outside and check. Then there it was a yellow-colored package. It’s navy blue and its pretty. Lol. That’s a little vague but oh well. It’s 512 mb and the company is unknown. You can tell it’s unknown because there’s no logo and the instructions lacks grammar just like me. :rosiecheeks

Aside from that my mom started doing her Xmas shopping for the kids. Buying toys in the toy store warehouse. I also have to start mine. She’s the only one that I know what to get for. Everybody else I just have to wing it. :bigmouth

Ahh!! No blog again.. Been busy with school and what not. Busy with work also considering how Xmas is coming up soon so I need major cash. Know what I mean? So yeah, I think I’ll stick with 512 mb mp3 player from China or something. The only bad thing is I keep losing in most of my bidding. I swear Ebay is like a dog-eat-dog concept. You either bid higher or you lose. Some people just have loads of dough these days. Couldnt they spare an mp3 player for the poor ones like me? I guess not. I was even close to getting one of Friday because I was so fed up and I didnt want to wait 2 weeks if I had won anything. So I decided to bid only the ones in Canada. At least it’ll arrive faster.

The lyrics is from ‘Rain’ which can be heard from the Something To Remember cd. Gosh, it took me a little longer to code this layout and to actually come up with a damn pattern for the background. Anywho, this is basically the first Sunday where I am not working. All I know is that I wont have anymore weekends so I am taking this only weekend to bum around and fix whatever I need to fix in the internet world. Yes, I have no life plus it’s raining outside so I wouldnt want to go out if its raining. Then tomorrow I have work for a little over 5 hours. This week is registration week and I’m not sure whether I should go tomorrow or Wednesday. Skip Tuesday for I have a dentist appointment around 2 pm. :eek Hm.. I’m finally getting my schedule and I need to find out how to change it for I am dropping a few classes. I also have to get one of my textbooks which will be algebra for I have to photocopy the damn thing. LOL :lol2 I am ghetto like that. It’s so much better than buying $100+ book when i could just photocopy it and it’ll save me $70 or more. Then by next week, bam! First week of school… But unfortunately I’m working at the same time. My dumb boss has to have a week of vacation at the same week as the first week of school. God, sometimes she can be so selfish. She uses her status as the manager to do whatever she wants. :slant The worst part is she does it so cleverly. For example, this weekend of the 4th and 5th she decides to not work on that weekend because its the weekend before her vacation so rather than having a 7 day vacation, its 9 bloody days. It probably doesnt like much of a big deal but it is for us people who have to do some major crunch time with our schedules. Mind you the job isnt flexible and even if I wanted a day off, I probably wont get it for there’s only 4 employees there and that includes my manager. So thats 1 full time, 2 part time and 1 manager. Blows, doesnt it? :irked
