Review: Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer

Just as promised, here is my review of another full coverage concealer by Kat Von D called Tattoo Concealer. This is a great alternative to those who missed out on Vichy Dermablend Skin Concealer. For this concealer, I picked out the color Almond. I did not purchase this on Sephora but rather bought it from a user in Makeup Alley.

As you can see in the photo above, the thickness and consistency is very similar to the Vichy Dermablend Skin Concealer. Again, I purchased this to cover up my cystic acne and wanted to see how this concealer covered up the acne. It also also a bit dark for my skintone now since back then I had a bit of a tan. If I were to buy this concealer again, I would probably buy the Tan or the Medium color.

The concealer comes in eight shades and it retails on $25 US dollars. I did buy this used online from another person who I did not pay full price for it. This is very long wearing and very pigmented. I gotta say though I tried to cleanse my hands after I swatched this and it did remove it however, when I tried washing the Vichy Dermablend Skin Concealer off with a hand sanitizer, it wouldnt come off… So you be the judge of that.

Review: Vichy Dermablend Skin Concealer

With my first review, I thought I would review Vichy’s Dermablend Skin Concealer. As you can see above I have purchased the concealer from my drugstore in color 40 Tan. Mind you, I was a bit more tanned when I purchased this after hearing great reviews from a Youtube guru. Also when I found this on the display, there were only 5-6 color shades which is a bit disappointing. So on to the product, the concealer itself is full coverage. You dont need alot of the product to cover those acne scars which was the main reason why I purchased this product. You really only need a small tiny bit since it has a thick consistency. Also there is no scent when you use to product so for those who dislike smells in make up products, this is the way to go.

This concealer is also long wearing and highly pigmented. Therefore it will cover those acne scars for sure! Right now, I’m a bit pale and no longer use this concealer since my acne has totally gone due to Accutane. I still have red acne scarring but I feel that this concealer is best for hiding those nasty cystic acnes. It really does cover them.

Unfortunately this product has been discontinued and I dont really know why since it was such a great full coverage concealer. However though, if you need another full coverage concealer that you can use, you can try Kat Von D’s Tattoo Concealer which I also have and will do a review on.
